As a Registered Counsellor and Coda, I support individuals, couples and families with a range of issues including

In our Counselling sessions together, you will be invited to explore a range of therapy supports and tools to according to your interests and needs. I use an ‘integrative’ Deaf friendly approach - pulling on a range of evidenced-based therapies and tools including Systemic Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Yoga, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy.

Cost

If you are self-managed or plan-managed, you can use NDIS for your Counselling sessions with me under Improved daily living skills (CB daily activity). My session costs are $156 per hour which is in line with the NDIS price guide. Please note non-direct time will also be billed accordingly - eg. notes, resources, meetings/communication with Support Coordinators and other therapists. Please note if sessions are not paid for after 14 days, I will be unable to continue services until all invoices are up to date.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to your session to avoid the full session fee.

Session times

Sessions run for 1 hour. If you think you will need more time, please arrange this in advance. (Please note extra time will be charged at 15 minute increments)

Frequency

Frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs and goals - I will discuss this with you in your first session. Most of my clients have fortniughtly sessions to begin with, moving to monthly once they feel goals have been achieved.

Online sessions

If you can’t see me face-face, therapy sessions can be provide online via Zoom.

Confidentiality, Deaf Community and Ethical Conduct

As an active member of the Deaf community - I uphold a high standard of separating my professional counselling work from my teaching, retreat facilitation work, interpreting or social situations where I may see you. This will be discussed in our session to ensure the client-therapist relationship isn’t compromised. Please consider your own privacy and that sharing with other Deaf people I am your Counsellor could lead to a conflict of interest.
